IT ALSO CAME WITH A/C , GREEN BENCH SEAT INTERIOR , POWER FRONT DISC BRAKES , AND POWERSTEERING . HE BOUGHT THE CAR 3 YRS. LATER FOR $ 1300 .00 ! WHEN I HIT ABOUT 12 , I ASKED IF HE WOULD SAVE THE CAR UNTIL I GOT MY LICENCE ; AND THE REST IS HISTORY !

BACKGROUND: I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 1989 AFTER MY GREEN CAR WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT . I GOT THE CAR FOR $600 . BUCKS . IT WAS MISSING 1/2 THE INTERIOR , HAD A ROLL BAR WELDED INTO IT , AND BOTH HEADS WERE CRACKED ! ON THE PLUS SIDE ; IT STILL HAD THE FACTORY PAINT , NEVER BEEN WRECKED , AND HAD A FACTORY 429 IN IT !
THE CAR NOW :
ENGINE : THE HEADS HAVE BEEN REPLACED W/ ' 69 HEADS FROM THE JUNK YARD THAT WERE REBUILT . THE BOTTOM END REMAINS STOCK W/ THE EXCEPTION OF A ROLLER TIMING SET .
IT HAS 180,000 MILES ON IT , AND IS IN NEED OF A REBUILD - ITS LEAKIN' OIL PRETTY BAD , BUT STILL RUNS STRONG .
TRANS : IT'S A C6 THATS BEEN REBUILT TO STREET / STRIP SPECS. W/ A SHIFT KIT AND STOCK CONVERTER . LEAVE IT IN DRIVE , NAIL IT TO THE FLOOR , AND IT SNATCHES A REAL HARD SECOND GEAR AT ABOUT 55 MPH ! IT;S A KICK IN THE PANTS .
REAREND : IT'S A FACTORY STOCK UNIT W/ A TRAC - LOC , 2:75 GEAR AND 28 SPLINE AXLES WITH DRUM BRAKES ON THE REAR . THERE'S POWER DISCS UP FRONT , AND FACTORY HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION W/ SWAY BARS FRONT & REAR .
