The same book that told about the intake valves , also recommended that the valley pan be trimmed out , but installed to keep hot oil off the intake manifold ; but it didn't show a picture , so this is what I came up with . It actually snaps in under the bottom of the heads.
Engine iz almost complete . The oil cooler was on the engine when I got the car , but they had a long heater hose going to it , and almost dragging the ground . I was always afraid it would get caught up on something , so I bent up and installed these pieces of tubing and used two preformed U - shaped heater hoses to connect to the cooler itself .
Well , the engine and trans are finally back in , and the cooling system is getting close to being finished . Time to get busy sanding and buffing .
